DELTA V-SEAL TECHNOLOGY
The DeltaV-Seal™ is a result gained from the technological innovation center in OTECHOS. Where a group of engineers constantly are challenging conventional thoughts on technical solutions. During the developing work related to a new flange attachment technology, flaws in the existing flange seals where identified. This was addressed accordantly and finally solved.
The solutions was the DeltaV-Seal™ technology
DeltaV-Seal™ is CNC-manufactured in one piece of metal where one or more DeltaV “sealing rings” will deform during installation and adapt to the flanges without damaging them.
The sealing technology is proved so flexible that even damaged flanges can be sealed without further load to the flange.
The primary purpose of the seals is to contain a fluid and so protect the immediate environment from contamination. The standard ductile seals tend to dissolve or change properties over time, so this is where the unique designed DeltaV-Seal™ provide a much more solid and durable seal.
During the development of “the next generation sealing technology” a No Leakage Test with pre-damaged flanges where conducted for testing the range and capability for the DeltaV-Seal to handle surfaces with dents and damages.
A TEST where therefore conducted to test whether DeltaV-Seal™ seals a damaged flange.
DeltaV-Seal seals even with the 0.3 mm damage/groove.
Proved by adding Helium at 5 bar pressures.
Conclusion: No leakage. Test successful
DeltaV-Seal™ is robust and easy to handle, and its non-resilient metal-to-metal performance obviates the need for re-tightening bolts after installation.
The DeltaV-Seal™ seals, even when exposed to temperatures created during fire, and are therefore also certified as Fire Safe according to API 6FB. And are proven to reduce fugitive emissions dramatically.
DeltaV-Seal™ seals 10 000 times than the requirements describing “gastight” solutions (Amtec according to TA Luft Helium (VDI 2440) low emissions requirements). Amtec certificate
Galvanic corrosion in the connection is avoided as the DeltaV-Seal™ are in the same material as the flanges.
Since its initial development and testing started in 2012, the DeltaV-Seal™ technology has undergone a thorough testing program to verify the quality.
Verified to resist high mechanical stress and vibrations while enduring pressure pulses, leading DNV-GL to issuing their first ever type approval certificate for a sealing technology.
